Community & Outreach Programs
At Brainerd United Methodist Church, we provide facilities for several programs which benefit our neighborhood and surrounding community. While these events are not conducted by Brainerd UMC staff, we encourage you to look and see what may be of interest to you and your family! Below is a brief description of each program. Marty's Center is designed for children with hearing-impairments, cochlear implants, and speech/language impairments in a comprehensive inclusive program with regular education children.
Girls Inc holds several events at Brainerd UMC, including after-school and summer camp programs.
Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts
A Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop 0030 meet in the Brainerd UMC Scout Cabin behind the building next to the playground.
The 2nd Friday of each month, USA Dance hosts a ballroom dance event which is open to the public. T
Scenic City Chorale
The Scenic Chorale originated from a Senior Neighbor’s choral group organized in the fall of 1965 - The Chattanooga Senior Singers.
Chattanooga Girls' Choir
Chattanooga Girls Choir provides an exceptional musical education for girls in the greater Chattanooga area from 1st-12th grades.
The Chattanooga Area Historical Association
The Chattanooga Area Historical Association is a citizen’s group concerned with preserving the history of the SE Tennessee Region.
Chattanooga Bach Choir
The Chattanooga Bach Choir provides an opportunity to sing lesser performed choral works of the Baroque period and choral-orchestral masterworks and chamber choral music of all periods.
Christian Family Theater
We are a family friendly theater group training and performing in an environment that reflects Judeo-Christian values.
Chattanooga Traditional (Contra) Dance Group
The Chattanooga Traditional Dance Society meets at Brainerd the second Saturday of each month. Check out their website for more information.
