The Gospel Jam has been gathering on a regular basis at Brainerd United Methodist Church since July 31, 2005.
It grew out of various acoustic gospel programs that the group conducted beginning in 2000. The Gospel Jam seeks to keep alive the old-time gospel songs characteristic of the Appalachian region.
It does so within the framework of an informal and highly participatory gospel service. People at the Gospel Jam care about each other.
The songs about Jesus have ministered to me over the years. What we sing gives back to God our worship and thanksgiving. Each person is a minister here whether they play or not. We enjoy each other in the Lord.
